Soy Starter Kit

Soy Starter KitThe Illinois Center for Soy Foods (ICSF) is excited to present to you our Soy Food Starter Kit©. The Kit provides you with several great soy items, including plain and vanilla soymilk, soy flour, texturized soy protein, silken tofu, and a recipe booklet to guide you through preparing these products.

Recognizing that lack of knowledge on how to handle soy ingredients is a major reason why people don’t consume soy foods, the Center has put together this Kit that introduces people to various soy ingredients available in many grocery stores and teaches them how to cook American foods with soy as an ingredient.  The Kit is a nice complement to our cookbook series designed to help people incorporate soy into their everyday diets.  ICSF has published Tofu in the American Kitchen, Soy in the American Kitchen, and most recently, Baking with Soy.  An order form for our cook books is included in the Kit.

Established with funding from C-FAR Sentinel program, ICSF seeks to promote the consumption of soy foods, thereby providing financial benefits to growers and processors in the state, technological innovations to large and small-scale processors globally, as well as health benefits to consumers.  In addition to providing research and technical services to numerous US companies, the Center also hosts many specialized training sessions each year.
